After considerable difficultie passing UK boarder control I managed to arrive in London. Staying at the Clink Hostel, using the internet here is expensive so my updates will be infrequent and breif.

Back from my trip to Zakopane didn’t manage to do any snowboarding, the Polish idea of a hill is what I call a bunny hill, worse yet the tiny lifts that they do have they don’t let you take a snowboard up…

I did have an amazing time in Zakopane and took lots of cool photos which I’ll post some time. Plus the staff at the Good Bye Lennon Hostel where lots of fun.

So here I am just one night left in Krakow, hard to believe its already been so long. I’ve got a few hours and 150 Zlota (~45 USD). So I’m off to try and find some fun and a way to spend that money.

I fly to London @ 11:15 am and will be there staying at the Clink Hostel until the 29th, then I fly back to Dusseldorf and then bus or van or train or ? back to Arnhem!

As you can see from the photos from my walk downtown the other night, Arnhem defiantly has the X-mas spirit.

The Netherlands is a wet place… All those canals require ‘cleaning’ hence this very specialized boat.

Awhile back some friends and I decided to take advantage of a deal on 1 day unlimited travel train tickets.  We traveled to Utrecht, The Hague, and Rotterdam, it was an amazingly fun and interesting day.

This post is actually quite old but it took me a long time to get all the photos for it to upload…

Here are some photos of my trip to The Hague. As Alexandria (the girl in a couple photos) and me, are both Gilman Scholars we where invited to the US Ambassadors house to meet the US Ambassador to the Netherlands. Unfortunately the ambassador had to fly to Brussels for an ‘emergency’ meeting so we where not able to meet her. We did still have a good time and got to see a little bit of Den Haag, an amazing city to which I plan to return to more fully explore it.
